Your time, your space
You might not always be able to come to class, or you might just fancy practicing at home in your own time and in your own space. If you're not sure how to get started then hopefully the practices here will give you a guide. I'm planning to add to them over time so check back from time to time and see what's new.
If you'd like to know more about starting a home practice then you can read my blog post about just that.
The videos will open from Youtube in a new window, audio files will open my shared Google drive in a new window.
WARMING HATHA PRACTICE
Settle in for a 20 minute Hatha yoga practice - a great way to start your day or as a pick me up. Gather together your mat, a blanket and a block (or a thick hardback book is a good alternative) if you have them.
A 10 minute relaxation practice which can be done on its own, perhaps before bedtime, or at the end of your physical practice to set you up for your day ahead.
You might want to use a blanket and eye pillow for greater comfort if you have them. No mat needed.
A 20 minute Yoga Nidra relaxation. Yoga Nidra is also called Yogic Sleep - the intention however is not to fall asleep but to find conscious relaxation.
Find a comfortable place to relax, gather all you need and I will guide you through a Yoga Nidra to leave you relaxed and refreshed.
If you are feeling a little bit frazzled, your head is spinning or you've just had a busy day then this lovely grounding sequence will bring a sense of calm. It's also a good way to finish a more energetic practice before you settle for relaxation.
SUN AND WARRIOR FLOW
A short flow based on the sun salutation and incorporating warrior 1 and 2. A more energetic flow to start your day or give you a lift if you need it. Repeat as many times as you want or be creative and add your own postures.
